MDC - Help
MDC is a file-plugin for the GIMP (currently 0.99.18) to acquire pictures
out of the MINOLTA RD-175.
The usage is very simple:
- Insert the pccard from the RD-175 into you PCMCIA-slot
- Mount the card with a command like
mount -tmsdos /dev/hdc1 /pccard (Real Linux-gurus have included this
command inside /etc/pcmcia/fixed.opts :-)
- Select "File/Open" in GIMP's main window
- Open the location where you mounted the pccard
- Select one of the *.mdc-files
- GIMP automagically opens the MDC-dialogbox with a small preview
- If the picture is'nt upwards, you may turn it with the
Turn-button
- If the image is right, press Acquire
- The final image is opened inside the GIMP
